During that time, he has worked with Agency Reps and agents for the purpose of facilitating policy reporting, intermediary licensing and contract administration. David also assists agents with training in AgentTrax, policy reporting and statements.

Joyce has been with the Fidelity National Title Group for the last several years. She began her career with Ticor Title's Agency Department and has been working with agents in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio and Illinois. Joyce's responsibilities include Letters of Indemnity and some Agency accounting. Joyce spent the majority of her career working in libraries before joining the Midwest Agency Team.

Walt has been with the Fidelity National Title Group since 1986. He is a graduate of Indiana State University and graduated Cum Laude from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 1985. Walt has been an Examiner, Title Officer, Claim's Counsel and County Manager for Chicago Title prior to accepting his current position as Associate Regional Counsel. Walt is also an active member of the Illinois Land Title Association and a frequent lecturer on title insurance issues.

Paul earned his law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law, Champaign, in 1987 and joined the Fidelity National Title Group in 1998 where he has been responsible for underwriting support in the states of Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, North & South Dakota and Iowa. Prior to joining the FNT Group, Paul spent 6 years in private practice and 5 years as an Assistant Regional Counsel for Commonwealth Land Title. Paul is a frequent lecturer on title insurance issues across the country, a member if the Illinois Electronic Recording Commission and currently the President of the Illinois Land Title Association (ILTA) and is active in several committees.

John began his career in the industry while in law school, abstracting for Real Estate Index (now a FNTG company). He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in late 1975, and joined Chicago Title Insurance Company in January, 1976. During his tenure at Chicago Title, John worked in the National Services Department (an early version of today’s NBU) and the Claims and Litigation department. Since then, he has worked in commercial underwriting departments, and has served as Regional Counsel for a 13–state region, and as Regional Agency Manager for a 9-state region, on behalf of several FNTG companies. He is now Lead Counsel for the Midwest Agency Department. John is a Past President of the Illinois Land Title Association, and continues to be active in that association today.

Lisa Petersen is Underwriting Counsel and Back Up State Counsel for the Fidelity National Title Group for Wisconsin and Illinois, which includes Chicago Title Insurance Company, Security Union Title Insurance Company, Ticor Title Insurance Company, Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, Lawyer’s Title Insurance Corporation and Commonwealth Land Title Company. Her responsibilities include statewide underwriting for all companies. Ms. Petersen is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Bar Association. She is also a member of the Wisconsin Land Title Association where she is an active member of the Education and Legislative Committees. Ms. Petersen is a Past President of the Wisconsin Land Title Association and has served on its Board of Directors for 7 years. She received her BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her JD from Northern Illinois University and is a frequent lecturer on title issues across the state.

Duane Wunsch joined Commonwealth Land Title Ins. Co. in 1978,and Lawyers Title in 1998. As both brands become stronger as the result of Fidelity National Financial’s acquisition, he is now located in Waukesha. Duane has 30 years of experience as in-house counsel, including underwriting and claims. He assists Wisconsin agencies daily with title insurance underwriting issues. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Bar Association, is active in the Wisconsin Land Title Association, and is a frequent speaker on title insurance. Duane and his wife, Ann, live in Brookfield. Duane is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison and obtained his law degree from Emory University.

It’s been a whirlwind of activity since our agency operations in Illinois and Wisconsin combined to form Fidelity National Title Group - Midwest Agency last June, and more recently in welcoming our Lawyers and Commonwealth Land agents in January. Now that the dust is settling – I want to take this opportunity to introduce – and for some of you – reintroduce myself.
As Midwest Agency Manager for Fidelity National Title Group, I am responsible for the Illinois and Wisconsin title agents representing Chicago, Commonwealth Land, Fidelity National, Lawyers, Security Union and Ticor. Since 1997, I’ve had responsibility for several agency operations in Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin. With the creation of FNTG – Midwest Agency, I’m really looking forward to enhancing and growing our agent relationships.
Over the course of the spring and summer, you will notice an increase in communication from our office - support staff, underwriters and agency reps. As we all ride out this unprecedented downturn in real estate, Midwest Agency is here to support you by offering educational webinars, claims prevention strategies, ways to cut operating costs and methods to increase profits. Our resources and underwriting bench strength - 5 highly experienced, business-minded attorneys – offer more support than any competitor in our two states. Backing them up, we have 4 skilled agency administrative staff in our Carol Stream office.
